The reason I started Opie’s Gold Family comes from a decision I made when I was still a kid. I grew up in the projects as the oldest of four kids where there were a lot of times we didn’t have any food. Even when we DID have food, I often didn’t eat so that my brothers and sister could. That was back when they could shut off your electricity and heat, and one day when we were without heat, electricity OR food, it just hit me.
I decided that I would never let this happen to my kids or my family. And then I started a business so that it would never happen to yours.
